“Enkindle” Young Adult Conference

Event Overview

Miles Christi

September 27, 2024: Begins at 4:00pm | September 29, 2024: Ends at 1:30pm

Enkindle is a three-day conference for young adults put on by Miles Christi, pursuing intellectual formation, interior life, and Catholic fellowship. It seeks to engage the whole person on their path to sanctity.

Enkindle gathers Catholic speakers to help form young adults with practical wisdom in order to grow in holiness and become effective apostles of Christ in the world.

However, Enkindle is not just a conference. In it, we provide opportunities to receive the grace of God through personal and communal prayer, sacraments, spiritual direction, and spiritual talks.

Social events, games and sports throughout the conference also encourage the forming of true friendships and real joy.

Theme 2024: In the Beginning

Where do we come from? Where are we going? How we answer these questions determines how we understand the meaning and orientation of our life and actions (CCC 282). It determines how we understand God, the human person, and the world. Is the universe governed by chance, blind fate, or anonymous necessity? Or is it governed by a transcendent, intelligent, and good being called God? (CCC 284)

Much of the confusion experienced in our world today stems from ignorance, misunderstanding, or outright denial of what God intended to do with his creation. Even Catholics have questions: How should we understand the Biblical accounts of creation? Is God still taking care of his creation? Is there a conflict between science and faith? Can we believe evolution? Why did God create humanity as men and women?

At Enkindle 2024, we will explore these questions and offer fundamental points of Catholic doctrine.
