Our Priests and Brothers are devoted to the pursuit of sanctity, for the greater glory of God. The mission of our Order is the sanctification of the laity, particularly of young men and women.

Deo gratias!! Miles Christi has elected a new Superior General: Fr. Gonzalo (Stephen) Sanguinetti, MC

From November 15 through November 25, a number of priests of Miles Christi from around the world gathered in Argentina for the General Chapter of the Order. In the context of these meetings, on Tuesday, November 20 they elected Fr. Gonzalo (Stephen) Sanguinetti as the new Superior General of Miles Christi.

Fr. Gonzalo Sanguinetti was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1967. After graduating from Champagnat High School, run by the Marist Brothers, he studied Philosophy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina. Once he discerned his vocation to the priesthood and religious life, he joined Miles Christi at the time of its foundation and was sent to Rome for his Theological Studies. He was ordained a Priest in 1995.

For almost 20 years he served at the Miles Christi House of Formation in the Eternal City, first as Spiritual Director and then as Superior of the Community. During his years in Rome he obtained a Licentiate in Moral Theology.

In 2013 Fr. Stephen came to the United States to serve as Spiritual Director of the Miles Christi religious in the country and, later, as Superior of the Community in Michigan. While here, in 2016, he was appointed Assistant General of the Order and was called back to Argentina where he currently resides. Fr. Sanguinetti will serve as the Superior General of Miles Christi for the next 6 years.

Days of Recollection

Thank you so much for your prayers and support. We are pleased to announce that the 2018 Car Raffle was a great success!

The winner was Jonathan Eichhold from Cincinnati, Ohio, whose winning ticket was drawn on the evening of Miles Christi Family Christmas Dinner on December 29 in Livonia, Michigan. Jonathan is a longtime supporter and friend of Miles Christi, and has participated in a number of our events.

We called Jonathan during the dinner to give him the good news, and even put him on speakerphone to say a few words to the dinner guests! He was very excited and grateful. He plans to use the money (in lieu of accepting the car) to go on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and to go on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in northwest Spain. We are thrilled that his winnings will help him experience these sites that are so monumental to our Faith!

Once again, thank you so much for your prayers and generous support. In total, 845 car raffle tickets were sold. The funds raised through this raffle will allow us to continue our mission into the upcoming year.

Please know that you are always present in the prayers of all our religious. Please remember to keep us in your prayers.

May our Lord bless you and your loved ones in this New Year!
