Miles Christi’s beginnings reach back to the year 1984, when, on August 15, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin into Heaven, Fr. ROBERTO JUAN YANNUZZI received the inspiration to found an association of Priests especially dedicated to the spiritual direction of souls. The passing of time would show more clearly what God, then, had barely outlined. Little by little, the number of spiritual sons grew who would become his first comrades-at-arms.

On December 20, 1994, the Archbishop of La Plata, MOST REV. CARLOS GALÁN, established Miles Christi as a Public Clerical Association of the Faithful. Then, once the conditions required by the Church had been fulfilled, this Association was elevated, on February 11, 1999, by a public and definitive act of Approval, to the status of Clerical Religious Order, the first of Argentine origin to be approved as such by the Church.
