About the Main Speakers
Dr. Lawrence Feingold is a lay theologian specialized in St. Thomas Aquinas. After he converted to Catholicism, he earned a doctorate in Dogmatic Theology from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. Currently he is Assistant Professor of Theology and Philosophy at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis, MO.
Steve Ray was raised in a devout and loving Baptist family. After an in-depth study of the writings of the Church Fathers, he converted to the Catholic Faith. He is the author of the best-selling books St. John’s Gospel, Upon This Rock, and Crossing the Tiber. Steve is a regular guest on Catholic radio and TV shows including Catholic Answers, Ave Maria Radio, Relevant Radio, and EWTN.
Fr. Eduard Perrone is pastor of Assumption Grotto Parish in Detroit. He has a degree in music composition and a master’s degree in Theology. Considered a world-class pianist and expert on sacred music, he often conducts the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
Fr. Daniel Jones is Associate Professor of Theology and Director of Graduate Seminarians at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. After he began his priestly studies, he received an S.T.B. from the Pontifical Gregorian University (Rome) in 1996, and an S.T.L., Diploma, and S.T.D. (2003) in Theology and Patristic Sciences from the Augustinianum Patristics Institute, Rome.
Fr. Gerry Pehler, OFM Cap, is a Franciscan Capuchin priest and Director of the Solanus Casey Center, serving at St. Bonaventure Monastery in Detroit, MI. As a Director of the SCC, Fr. Gerry frequently holds retreats and gives talks sharing Blessed Solanus’ holiness and spirituality.
What is a Conference for Study & Prayer?
The Conference for Study & Prayer is a weekend event aimed at helping Catholics better understand their faith. Miles Christi invites knowledgeable speakers who provide thorough and sound presentations on important topics of our Catholic Faith and its impact on society.
The Conference also provides means for spiritual growth. Each day includes the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Holy Rosary, Solemn Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, and a Spiritual Talk by the Priests of Miles Christi. Confessions are also available.
