About the Main Speakers

Dr. Lawrence Feingold is a lay theologian and specialist in the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas. He received a B.A. in Comparative Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and a Master’s degree in Art History at Columbia University. For nine years he studied Philosophy and Theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome, earning a doctorate in Dogmatic Theology. Currently he is Associate Professor of Theology and Philosophy at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary (St. Louis, MO).

Dr. Massimiliano di VentraDr. Massimiliano Di Ventra is a theoretical physicist who has made several contributions to Condensed-Matter Physics. He has delivered more than 250 talks worldwide and has published more than 200 papers in scientific journals and 2 textbooks. He is currently a Professor of Physics at the University of California, San Diego.

Jonathan and Lauren SmithJonathan and Lauren Smith work in evangelization on college campuses with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS). After graduating from Hillsdale College, Jonathan pursued graduate studies at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, MI and Lauren pursued a Masters in Catholic Studies at University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.

Dr Robert FastiggiDr. Robert L. Fastiggi is an Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, MI. He has also been an Adjunct Professor of the Institute for Pastoral Theology of Ave Maria University. Dr. Fastiggi has published two books and over 70 articles.

What is a Conference for Study & Prayer?
The Conference for Study & Prayer is a weekend event aimed at helping Catholics better understand their faith. Miles Christi invites knowledgeable speakers who provide thorough and sound presentations on important topics of our Catholic Faith and its impact on society.

The Conference also provides means for spiritual growth. Each day includes the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Holy Rosary, Solemn Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, and a Spiritual Talk by the Priests of Miles Christi. Confessions are also available.
