Project Details

Our plan is to have on one site:

a family center
a main chapel
the Religious House for our Priests and Brothers
a house of formation for the candidates to the priesthood
grounds for recreation
parking lots
office space to continue our day-to-day projects and activities

Our plans also include the possibility of building a retreat house to accommodate about 40 retreatants.

In 2004 we started to research a piece of land that will allow us to build the complex we had in mind. After much prayer and long research, we found an ideal sized property of 19 acres in South Lyon, Michigan, close to our Northville Residence. This land easily accommodates our project (see proposed site plan), and allows for ample space for grounds, woods and walkways for reflection and prayer. This project comes with the full endorsement of His Eminence CARDINAL ADAM MAIDA.

With the grace of God, who has manifested Himself bountiful in the support and prayer crusade of our benefactors, on May 13, 2005, Memorial of Our Lady of Fatima, we signed the Land Contract for the South Lyon Property. Now we are in the process of making down payments and monthly payments of interest.

At the beginning of 2006 we started the bidding process so as to hire the firm of Architects that will design our Religious and Family Center. On July 14, 2006, after much discernment and having considered several possible architects, we signed a Contract Agreement with CDPA Architects, Inc., located in Southfield, MI. We trust that the expertise of these architects in building institutional complexes and the fact that they are local will be great assets for the success of our project.

On April 8th, 2007, the Planning Commission of Lyon Township, MI, unanimously approved the site plan for the future Religious and Family Center we plan to build. Our architects are currently working with us to finish all the necessary documents for construction.

While we prepare everything to start construction, we continue making great fundraising efforts so as to receive the necessary help to start building.

The updated total estimated cost of the Religious and Family Center is $8.2 million.

We have entrusted all this Campaign to the powerful protection of the Glorious Patriarch St. Joseph. Let us pray to St. Joseph because we trust that he will provide the rest of the substantial amount that we need in order to start building. Let us commend ourselves to St. Joseph, and he will work with his powerful and effective intercession.
